Can solar be installed on leased sites?

Yes, solar can provide an additional income to landlords. Olympus Power pay landlords for the right to install PV on their roofs. We then sell the power generated to their tenants.

We will install solar PV on a building with as low as six years remaining on the lease if the building meets certain criteria. We will enter into an airspace lease with the owner and provide for a break clause from year six.

We retain responsibility for all installation and operation of the solar asset and provide full workmanship warranties for the installation. We guarantee to fix any issues directly related to the solar installation and will carry out a detailed pre‐installation roof survey to identify any issues before we install the solar asset.

If the tenant doesn't use all of the power generated we are able to sell the excess to other clients. In this way no power we generate is wasted and the landlord can be assured of stable income from the solar asset irrespective of whether the tenant purchases 100% of the power produced.
