# Why do we need solar if we own and lease commercial property?

## The sustainability agenda has for too long been considered the elephant in the room for many commercial property owners and landlords but current legislation and policy-making is a very clear sign of where the agenda is being driven.

Forward-thinking and active property owners, landlords and occupiers have been introducing measures for some time now to improve building performance both in terms of reducing energy usage and generating renewable energy on-site. They have realised it is much more cost effective in the long run for those that take decisions now, than it will be for those who have changes forced upon them in later years.
