# Will a solar installation negatively affect my health?

No, although there are misconceptions out there that solar generated electricity can harm your health, solar panels are simply a different way of producing electricity and do not emit any more electromagnetic waves than electricity from other sources. In addition, the EM waves from electricity are not dangerous to human health because they are non-ionizing, which means they do not contain enough energy to cause any health concerns. If anything, solar panels can be a benefit to your health because they reduce pollution, which increases air quality.
